Bruce was a great mentor to me. I will always remember that anytime things got crazy at ITT, when he came into the room, we breathed a sigh of relief as we knew he would get things back on track - he was invariably the voice of calm, reason and wisdom that we needed. He chose me (a young 30-something at the time) from a group of about 15 young product/sales trainers to move into a management training & development role, something that I had really hoped to have the opportunity to do. With his guidance, I got very good at it. He also encouraged me to pursue a master's degree in organization development. All of this totally changed my professional trajectory and led to many additional professional opportunities. Now, 30 years later, I lead a multi-year organizational change initiative in global talent management consulting for a major U.S.-based international consulting firm. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to visit with him and Karen several years ago during a northeastern U.S. business trip. I also shared a love of jazz with Karen. Bruce changed my life. I am so grateful to him. He is missed.

Mr. Tyler was a terrific teacher. He opened up our minds to the world and politics by using the daily syndicated cartoons in the newspapers. And best of all, he never gave us the answers. Hey Mr. Tyler - I figured out what, "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose" means. Thanks.
