Carla V. Johnson

1967 - 2021

Carla Vinnett Johnson was born into this world to Vinnett Murray and Vincent "Bimpy" Johnson on January 22nd, 1967, in Kingston Jamaica. She migrated to the US in 1985 and attended Weaver High School. Carla resided in Hartford for over 30 years where she was loved and respected by many for setting trends in the Jamaican community set forth in Hartford CT. Carla peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday July 30th, 2021. She leaves behind to mourn her son Ramaldo Henderson, grandchildren Quincy and Mahki Henderson. She also leaves behind her parents, her Grandmother Melba Edwards as well as a host of family and friends. The family would like to take the time out to specially thank each one who has shown love, kindness and support throughout our time of grief. Love and respect to all. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 13th, 2021, at 11:00am with a visitation from 9:00am – 11:00am at Rehoboth Church of God, 1170 Blue Hills Ave Bloomfield, CT 06002. Interment will take place at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
