Carlo Mucciacciaro Obituary

Carlo Mucciacciaro, 76, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Laura (Brini) Mucciacciaro for 53 years. Born in Italy, son of the late Francesco and Maria Mucciacciaro, he was a longtime Newington resident and a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Carlo had a large circle of friends, old and new, who were all very dear to him. He was a loving, compassionate, generous man with a great sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh. Carlo enjoyed playing card "Scopa", bocci and to hang out with his friends at the Italian Club. He was the proud owner of Carlo Electric for over forty years until he retired in 2017. What he loved the most about his life was spending time with his family and traveling around the world. Along with his wife, he leaves his three sons, Mario Muccicciaro and his wife Erin of Hebron, Frank Mucciacciaro and his wife Lori of Haddam and Steven Mucciacciaro of Newington and three grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew and James. He also leaves his brother Alberto Mucciacciaro and his wife Maria of Farmington and his sister Anna Gugliotti of Newington. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Antonio. He leaves behinds several cherished brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 19th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. His funeral service will begin on Thursday, May 20th at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit. He will be laid to rest in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. To share a memory with his family, please visit us at www.duksa.net.

I met Carlo at the Canicattinese Society of which I am President. A humble, hardworking, capable electrician he many times helped out the society by doing pro bono work at our location on Franklin Avenue.
