GARINI, Carol P.

Carol P. Garini, 75 of Suffield, passed away peacefully September 25, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born August 6, 1938 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Cain) Paczosa. On October 6, 1961, Carol was united in marriage to her husband of over 50 years, James Garini. Raised in Suffield, Carol was a 1956 graduate of Suffield High School. Besides being a loving wife and mother, Carol was previously employed with Connecticut Light and Power, Tupperware and Southern Auto Auction. She was also an office manager for the Longmeadow and Agawam offices of Dr. William Linson. Carol was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Suffield and in her spare time she enjoyed attending various auctions, collecting antiques and she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandson JP. An avid sports enthusiast, Carol loved rooting for her favorite teams, particularly the Connecticut Sun, where she held season tickets, and for UConn's Men's and Women's Basketball teams. Carol had also been involved with the Enfield Hockey Association and served as an officer for several years. Carol leaves behind her devoted husband, Jim; her son James "Jimmy" Garini, Jr. and his wife Kristin of Suffield; her precious grandson, James Garini III; her sister Joan Prayzner of Enfield; and two nieces; JoAnn Phelon and her husband Jeff of Enfield and Susan Snow and her husband Greg of Virginia.
A visitation for Carol will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. funeral service to follow at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Family and friends are asked to gather on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the funeral home at 9 a.m. for a procession to St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery for a committal service at 10 a.m. For information or directions please visit www.leetestevens.com.
