I was shocked and saddened to hear of Chuckie´s passing. I knew Chuckie and his family when we were living in Long River Village. Our families were friends as we lived across the street from each other on Roosevelt Drive. When our family moved from LRV, we lost track of each other. Surprisingly though I was in the class of 1967 at Woodrow Wilson Hugh School and not knowing he was just two years behind me? Wish I knew then, maybe could have made a connection with him after all those childhood years??!!
My thoughts and prayers are with you Jeanette and your family as you mourn his passing. A great loss I´m sure.
Peace and God bless.

Jeanette, it is with such profound sadness that we extend our words and prayers to you. Chuckie was a childhood friend. We got to the age where reality has hit hard. You two lived life with love and no length of time would ever be enough. Lean on your friends and family. You don’t always have to be strong. Fall apart when you have to. Find peace, it won’t be easy, but it is possible.

Jannette and Richie I am so sorry for your loss. Chuck was a huge part of growing up for me. He was more than ‘a friend of my older brother’s’, he was family, more like another older brother for me. A smart, extremely likeable and funny with a quick smile older brother. I remember I use to wake up on the weekends as a kid and find Chuck sleeping on the couch in our living room on Ridgewood Road. Years later as a responsible adult Chuck confessed to my mother that on many of those nights he’d stay at our house he would get up in the middle of the night and eat the meatballs from the spaghetti sauce she made for the next day. My mother told him she knew he did so she always made extra meatballs for him. We all got a big laugh out of that. I went to Chuck’s house on Vine Street right after I went solo through an AOT Hell Night. He helped me clean up and gave me a beer and words of congratulations and encouragement. Years later when I was in the Navy and on my way to the Philippines, I had to wait a week at a base outside of San Francisco. Chuck and Jannette were living in the Bay Area at the time and they picked me up and took me all over San Franciso sightseeing ending with a fantastic dinner at the famous restaurant Alioto’s on Fisherman’s Warf. I’ll never forget that, they were gracious and wonderful host. Going to college after the Service I ran into trouble in a math class. Chuck tutored me. I ended up passing that class and graduated. For years afterwards Chuck would laugh when recalling that and the ineptness of “the Shonta’s and math”. The last time I saw Chuck was a little over a year ago at my nephew’s wedding. I wish so much now that I had of told him how much I truly liked him, admired, respected and loved him. Maybe as Bob “Cricket” Vincent said in an earlier post “this message will somehow find its way to you”

My deepest condolences to Jeannette, family, and loved ones. When I was just out of college, I joined Chuck's team at NU. Chuck was always quick to help, kind, funny and smart. He was great to work with, and a friend to everyone lucky enough to know him. May your memories bring some comfort.

I graduated with Chuck in 1969 from Woodrow Wilson Senior High School in Middletown, Connecticut.
I remember his smile and easy going attitude and of course those dimples! We all liked Chuck.
He really was such a super nice guy.
Our class had our 50th class reunion in October 2019 and Chuck was so missed.
We are so sorry for Chuck's family and please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
We have a FB page for the class of 1969 and memories are being shared.

I worked with Chuck for many years and he pretty much became my mentor (and friend) over that time. I found him to be sharp as well as compassionate on the job and off. I learned in time that he found a balance between work and life that I had a hard time finding until my later years. He always treated me and his folks well and you could always count on Chuck to have an open and welcoming mind and door. He gave so many opportunity. I lost track of Chuck when he left NU but I've often thought about him and what he was/had meant to me. I'm sorry to say I never acted on those thoughts and let our relationship go. Goodbye to a good man, a good husband, and I know, a good brother. My deepest condolences to Jeannette and family. I hope your sadness passes quickly leaving only the fond memories behind. Most sincerely, George Baloga.

Chuck was a fraternity brother of mine in AOT during our high school years . I remember some great times riding with him in his white beat up VW Beetle, and a friendly rivalry we shared in our rock bands. He was a good friend to me and many others. I'm sorry to say that I lost track of him after high school, but I never forgot "Chucky". I am saddened by his passing but have many fond memories of the wonderful person that he was back then and I'm sure for the rest of his life. Please accept my deepest sympathy...

Hey Chuck, I know this message will somehow find it's way to you.,,, I'm very sad to hear of your passing. Over these many, many years, I've thought of you often.,,, We had the best of times in high school, AOT, motorcycle, Volkswagen, Camero, just hanging around, building transformers and sharing the odd news of the world.,,, I apologize for being a bit jealous, when I covered your hours at Thom McAns, when you went to Woodstock, but I stayed dry and earned a $1.65 an hour.,,, I thanked you for setting up an IT interview in that bunker at NU and I hope you enjoyed the book on AOT and wore the t-shirt.,,, You were always a great guy, that had a great spirit. It was a pleasure to have known you and thank you for sharing your time on earth with me. Bob Vincent
