Charles P. "Chuck" Thompson, 71, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Rita "Rikki" Mazzarella Thompson passed away April 13, 2015 at Riverside Health and Rehab. Chuck was born in Meriden, CT on Aug. 26, 1943. Son of the late John and Agnes Ferro Thompson. Chuck was a proud US Marine Vet who served his country with pride. He worked at the East Windsor High School 12 years. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Royal Messenger as a Manager 25 years and Willow Arms Apts 11 ½ years as on site manager. Besides his wife of 44 years he leaves a loving son Robert Mazzarella and a special grandson Nicholas Mazzarella, both of Eash Hartford; two brothers John Thompson and wife Donna, Peter Thompson and wife Chris, all of New Hampshire; two sisters Agnes Scionti and husband Louis of Meriden, CT, Janice Wentzel and husband Eli of Harrisburg, PA; a brother and sister-in-law Butch and Ann Mazzarella of Palm Coast, FL, many nieces and nephews, friends who will miss him dearly. Chuck was predeceased by his brother Gregory Thompson, great-niece Stephanie Martin and Mother-in-Law Catherine Mazzzarella. Funeral and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. His family wishes to thank all at Riverside for the wonderful care Chuck received while being there.
