ANDRONIS, Christos G. Christos G. Andronis, 83, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for 52 years of Anastasia (Makris) Andronis, died unexpectedly, Monday, (September 13, 2004) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Gargaliani, Messinias, Greece and immigrated to the U.S. in 1956, he had lived in Wethersfield for the last six years. Christos was a restaurateur and operated the Brothers Restaurant and Pizzeria in Lakeville for 29 years. He was a longtime member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. He served with the Greek army during World War II. He loved to work in his garden and loved going to the restaurant for special cooking projects. He was an advocate of healthy eating habits and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Christos was a hard working, kind and humble man. Besides his wife he is survived by his son, George C. Andronis and his wife Koula of Florida; his daughter, Roula Mougias and her husband John of Lakeville; four grandchildren, Chris G. Andronis and Evan Andronis, Anna Mougias and Anastasia Mougias; a brother, John Andronis of Greece; two sisters, Konstatina Katritsis and Martha Zakinthios, both of Greece and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. The funeral will be Saturday, September 18, 12:30 p.m. in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, with the Rev. John A. Heropoulos officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, Sept. 17, 5-8 p.m. at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield. There will be a Trisayion Service Friday, 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to: St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford, CT 06114.
