Claire Rathbun Obituary

Claire Rosemary (Hinsley) Rathbun, 73 of Manchester, passed away peacefully Saturday, (November 17, 2001) in the presence of family. She was born June 26, 1928 in Hartford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Cagney) Hinsley. She is survived by her ever faithful daughter, Rosemary Ellen Jutras of Manchester; her beloved son, Thomas and his wife, Claire of South Windsor; her grandson, Paul and his wife, Kimberly; her granddaughter, Catherine and her boyfriend, Brian; Paul and Kimberly's son, great-grandson, Troy William, Claire's greatest joy. She leaves behind her brother, James and his wife, Barbara of West Hartford; her brother, John and his wife, Joyce of Hanover, NH; and many extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond. Claire was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her unconditional love of all who touched her life was especially evident. This unconditional love for others was repaid by her angel of mercy, Annice Marie Hollis who helped guide her home to the heavenly Father. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 10 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, East Windsor. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery, East Windsor. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester on Tuesday morning, 8:30-9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to North Central Hospice Program, Visiting Nurse & Health Services of Connecticut, Inc., 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon, CT 06066.
