Cornelius Greenway, Jr. 72 of Middletown, CT., passed away on August 15, 2016. He was born September 3, 1943, in Emporia, VA., A celebration of his life will take place Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11AM, at Cross St. AME Church, 440 West St., Middletown, CT., with calling hours at the church from 9AM -11AM. Interment will be in CT State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, in Middletown, CT with full military honors. To my dear friend "Neil".....we were stationed together overseas and shared many a meal and conversation together.
I miss him and always remembered his infectious smile with a twinkle in his eyes.

My dear friend from so many years ago. "Neil and I were in the same outfit of the military police overseas;we shared many a meal together,and spoke of many things.
He was a kind person and always had a twinkle in his eyes when he greeted you.
I had hoped he would visit me one day in Hawaii but the Lord had other plans for him.
My prayers are for his family and all who were touched by him.

"Corny", that's what we called him in grammar school at Stillman, was my best friend, my protector. I'm so sad to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in Peace old friend.

I am sooo saddened to hear this news. Neil was the sweetest man anyone could know. And had such a sweet family. I loved our conversations at the Moose. He was such a gentleman and gave to our country. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. We have lost a great man. RIP Sir Neil. You will be very missed.
