Cornelius Neligon "Whitey" Neligon obituary

Cornelius Neligon Memoriam

Forty years, it seems so long ago, then it seems like yesterday. At age 14 the important things used to be what time to meet Philip and go bike riding. But the day you died, Dad, life took on a new meaning, the meaning of love. Love for my mother, father and family. I just thank God that I had 14 wonderful years with you. I will never forget going to Meriden every Sunday to see Uncle Frank, going to the beach to see Uncle Tom, and you taking me to Glastonbury so I could ride my mini-bike so you could do the Sunday crossword puzzle. Those are special times in my heart that I will keep forever. Those 14 years set in motion the man I am today, a husband to my wife Rosemary and a loving father to your granddaughter Kelsey. You will never be gone because you live in me, Dad. You are in my heart and thoughts forever. I love you. Kurt?

I remember how patient you were when you were trying to teach the slow learner that I am how to whistle and how to fish down at the cove. You had such a wonderful way about you. No wonder dogs always loved you. So grateful you were a part of my life!
