Craig Anderson Obituary

Craig Martin Anderson, 68, passed away on November 20, 2022. He grew up in Middletown and graduated from Xavier High School before settling in Higganum for the last 30+ years. Craig was a man of many talents and passions, whose kindness was matched equally by his humility, intelligence, and incredible sense of humor. A dedicated respiratory therapist, he was respected among the sleep medicine community. A passionate volunteer, he devoted many years to community service in Higganum including coaching youth athletics and chairing the Park and Rec Commission. A beloved friend, he believed good food, good music, and good company were the good life essentials - and he often enjoyed all three "down the beach" with friends old and new. Craig's life wasn't easy, and he never claimed to be perfect, but he always fought for what he believed in and made the best out of the cards he was dealt - and did it all with a smile. Craig leaves behind his fiancé, Leslie Dalenta; children, Kate, Christopher, and Jessica; "kidney brother" Bill; and many wonderful friends. A celebration of Craig's life will be held on Saturday, January 7, from 11am-3pm at the former Haddam Elementary School, 272 Saybrook Road, Higganum, CT.

Worked with Craig many years ago when we were both exploring working outside our usual hospital setting as Respiratory Therapists and moving into distribution sales of Respiratory Therapy supplies and equipment! Condolences to his family!!!

So sorry to hear of Craig´s passing! Craig and I worked together back in late 70´s early 80´s as Respiratory Therapists at St Francis Hospital. As life happens we both moved in and then saw one another at industry conferences throughout the years! He and I once again connected and worked together in the home respiratory field just a few short years ago. He was the go to guy when it came to taking care of sleep medicine patients! He will missed! He was a great guy and there was never a dull moment when we got together! Rest in peace my friend!

Sad to hear the passing of Craig. I met him in the late 80's when I worked at Hartford Hospital. He was a gentle giant. I left the hospital in January of 1992. But I always remembered Craig. I reside in Feeding Hills, Mass. My Name is Carl Karolinski in case he never mentioned me. With a heavy heartfelt sadness may the lord comfort you.
