Dane Cameron Cooper

Dane Cooper, a native of Hartford CT, who resided in East Hartford CT, transitioned at age 55 and slept away his final day at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his wife, sister, sister-in-law and all the caring and supportive staff members of the ICU. Dane, a hard and dedicated worker and a retired contractor and roofer, loved working with his hands and could fix just about everything. Dane was an outspoken and lively person. Dane was strong willed and lived life on his terms. He kept his affairs private and personal. However, those who were able to know him well enough, loved him. He was a kind and loving man who doted on his daughter and gave his heart freely to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Olga O. Cooper and father, Charles "Sonny" Glover. Dane leaves behind his wife Carlette Cooper of East Hartford CT , daughter Danelle Cooper of East Hartford CT, and brothers; Todd Cooper of Bloomfield CT, Richard Cooper of California, Conrad Glover of Atlanta GA, and Keddrick "Buzzy" Turner of Hartford, CT. Sisters; Robin Garcia of Enfield CT, Nakeisha Glover of Windsor CT, Kimberly Long Searcy of Atlanta GA, Sherrill Glover of Georgia, Ronda Glover of Las Vegas NV and Williadean Doggette of North Carolina. Cousins; Steve Cooper of Connecticut, Valerie Alston, Minnie Cooper, Sheila Cooper, Jett Darden, Patricia Payne and one of his favorite – Precious Cooper all of Norfolk VA and friends; John Whitaker, Gary Irving, Paul Pilcher, Chris, Aaron and Lisa Beckford along with a host of other family and friends. Due to COVID-19 concerns, a private memorial will be reserved for family and close friends.
