Daniel Tomassetti Obituary
Daniel R. Tomassetti, 62, husband of Cheryl Angell Tomassetti, died on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Dan was born in Meriden on January 20, 1954, the son of the late Alfred and Blanche Mathews Tomassetti. Mr. Tomassetti graduated from Cheshire Academy and the University of Vermont and was Vice President of Tomassetti Distributors of Meriden. Dan loved boating and was an avid New York Yankees/ Giants and UConn Huskies fan. Besides his wife Cheryl, Mr. Tomassetti is survived by his two daughters, Nicole and Meghan Tomassetti; his son Kevin and his wife Jillian Tomassetti; his grandchild Brayden Tomassetti; his brother Tony Tomassetti and Tina Zyjewski; two brothers-in-law, Christopher Angell and his wife Kim, and Jeffrey Angell and his wife Michele and his three nephews Camden, Cole and Ethan Angell and his niece Emma Angell. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 164 Hanover St., Meriden CT 06451, with Rev. Richard Burgess officiating. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden on Monday January 16th from 3 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Stuart Scott Memorial Cancer Research Fund at jimmyv.org in Dan's name. For online condolences please visit www.jferryfh.com.

I only just learned of Danny's passing today. He was a wonderful friend to my deceased brother, Jay. They met at Cheshire Academy and he was always welcomed in my family's home in North Haven. I would like to extend my warmest condolences to all family members.

Danny and I went to school together at Cheshire Academy. He was always a care free nice guy to hang with. He introduced me to black cat firecrackers! lol Have some funny memories of him. I just found out of his passing in an alumni publication. RIP Danny I still have those funny moments 60 years later.

Dear Tony and all the Tomassetti Family,
I am sad to learn of the loss of Dan. I used to see him at Canada Dry, and always appreciated his arrival into my day. He was always cheerful and considerate in his thoughts and actions. We have always needed more people like him. Tony, I remember a conversation we had about your brother, years ago, and how we happily agreed about what a good guy Danny was.
There is no sense to be gained from what happens to some people. Dan was too young to leave this life. I am very sorry for your loss, all of you.

Dan Tomassetti was a quiet but great man. He gave me my first real job and from that my experience and future has grown ever so bright. I am forever greatful to have worked for this man and have been apart of such a great company. He was well known and no doubt about it will he be missed. Thank You Dan for believing in me. Dearest Tony and the entire Tomassetti family. My thoughts have been with you since I heard of Danny's passing. I'm so truly sorry for this great loss.
