David Joshua Lopez, 23, of Wethersfield died unexpectedly on November 28, 2023, at Hartford Hospital. David was born in Tampa, FL, on August 12, 2000. David grew up in Wethersfield and graduated from Wethersfield High School with the Class of 2018. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve. He was proud to be a Marine and serve our country. David was a sports fanatic and loved to watch ESPN. He was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Thunder. He loved Marvel Comics, anything anime, Disney movies, music, and dancing. A kind, caring and devoted son, brother, uncle, godfather and friend to many, he will be dearly missed. He leaves his mother, Shirley Lopez of Wethersfield; his siblings, Ashley Kortright, Latasha Bagley, Jamal Bagley, Brianna Bagley all of Wethersfield also his three oldest sisters Denise Lopez of Wethersfield & her children, Ramona Lopez of Wethersfield & her children & Sandra Reyes of Newington & her children; his maternal grandmother, Maria Lopez of Wethersfield; and his nieces and nephews, Liam, Anastasia, Avianna, Romeo, and Ashlynn. His family will receive friends on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 2-5 p.m., at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Rd., Windsor. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, 11 a.m.at The Lodge Community Chapel in Windsor. Burial with Military Honor will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
