Debra Myles

1955 - 2016

Debra (Haberern) Myles, 60, of Vernon, loving wife of 39 years to James Myles, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital with her family at her side. Born in Hartford, the daughter of Irene (Peterson) Haberern of Coventry and the late Eric Haberern, she grew up and lived in Coventry and Manchester before moving to Vernon 28 years ago. She was a graduate of Coventry High School, Class of 1973. She was a secretary at the University of Connecticut Correctional Care in Enfield. She previously was employed in the IT Department at Rockville General Hospital for 12 years. Debra also worked at Nationwide Moving Company in Bloomfield. Debra enjoyed swimming in her pool, gardening, feeding the birds, and knitting. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, and her mother, she is survived by her beloved children, Michael Myles and his fiancée Aylene Matthews of Tolland, and Stephanie Veturis and her husband Joseph of Ellington; two brothers, Rick Haberern and his wife Brenda of Lebanon, and David Haberern of Coventry, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Her family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Interment will be private and at the convenience of her family.
