Dolores Patricia Nielsen

Dolores Patricia (Gilbert) Nielsen, 84, of Middletown, beloved wife of Robert G. Nielsen, passed away on January 13, 2015 at Middlesex Health Care Center. She was born in Williamsport, PA. the daughter of the late Robert and Annabell (Baston) Gilbert. Dolores devoted her life to caring for her family. Besides her husband Robert, Dolores leaves behind two sons; Robert Nielsen of East hampton, NY., Scott Nielsen and his wife Lorraine of Middletown, two daughters; Rebecca Nelson and her husband Steven of Middletown and Bonnie Emanuele and husband Sal of Middletown, two sisters; Betty Mcilwain of Plainville, and Nancy Smith of Portland. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Gilbert and two sisters, Joan Hale and Sharon Walton. The Nielsen family would like to thank the staff of Middlesex Health Care Center, Middlebrook Section for all of their love and compassionate care during Dolores' time there. A funeral service will be held on Monday (January 19, 2015) 12 Noon at the Rose Hill Funeral Home 580 Elm St Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial park, Rocky Hill. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11 AM until 12 Noon just prior to the service.
