Donald Sprague Obituary
Donald C. Sprague, 57, of Wallingford, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 9, 2013. Don was born July 12, 1956, a son of the late Robert and Leona Ervine Sprague of Wethersfield and was a graduate of Wethersfield High School and Bryant College. He is survived by his children, Matthew Sprague and his wife Linda of Hawaii, and Lea Sprague of Meriden; his granddaughter, Leila; his former wife, Barbara Dunlop Sprague of Meriden; his siblings, Rick Sprague of Torrington, Pati Sprague of Hailey, ID, and Robert Sprague of Middletown; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Don was a dedicated father who adored his children. He loved reading, music, golfing, and the beach. He will be remembered for his kindness and big heart. He lived his life for the past 12 years by the 12 steps of fellowship and was very active in supporting others to achieve the same. His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford, on Monday, December 16, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home. I was saddened to hear that Don has passed away. I worked with him years ago at Bank of America and we became very good friends. Matt and Lea, he spoke of you often with such love and pride. He was a wonderful man with a fabulous sense of humor. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Matt, Lea, and Barbara - Please accept our condolences for Donnie's loss. Robin and I shared many fun times with you all at Roger and Elsa Cornwalls home in Woodbury especially on Memorial Day weekends. Cooking out, volleyball, storytelling, and lots and lots of laughter. Donnie was always right in the middle of it with his great sense of humor. We have fond memories of him and all that we shared.

We are so sorry for the loss of your father, husband/friend. We only had the pleasure of meeting him once and it was obvious that he thought the world of his little Girl, and so do we.
