SILVA, Doris Ann (Aggie) Doris Ann (Aggie) Silva, 81 of Middletown, beloved wife of the late Francis Joseph Silva passed away peacefully on Wednesday, (October 18, 2006). Born in New Britain, on March 29, 1925, daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Gomes) Andrews. A resident of Plainville, she lived in Middletown, for over 37 years. She enjoyed traveling to various countries, Egyptian history and art and spending quality time with her family. Her greatest joy was found in her family and grandchildren to whom she was ever dedicated and her love for them was boundless. She leaves behind her loving children, Cheryl Santos of Middletown, Michael J. Silva of Beijing, China, Jacqueline Williams and her husband, John of Middletown, Andrea Martin of Middletown, Francis J. Silva, Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Middletown and Inez Christiansen and her husband, Roark of Citrus Springs, FL, and a sister, Ann Clarke of New Britain. Loved and blessed with the presence of her entire family during her short illness, Doris leaves behind a legacy of five generations. Adored by her grandchildren she leaves, Monique Santos, Reverie Santos, Doris Santos of Middletown. Darcey (Silva) and Frank Bollok of Middletown, Stacey (Silva) and Goran Vasic of New Jersey, Shannon Walker Williams and Walter Ray Allen, Jr. of Seattle, Sara Williams and Jamie Williams of New York City. Christina and Robert Martin of Middletown, and Jennie (Silva) and Matthew Wygant of Middletown. She also leaves her great grandchildren and great-great grandchild, Julian Santos, Ashley Santos, Stephen Kirkland, Mateo and Parker Vasic, Aniko and Aspen Bollok, Walter Ray Allen, III and Avery Santos. She was predeceased by her sons, Brian and James; her two grandsons, Michael J. Silva, Jr. and Francis J. Silva, III and her siblings, Charles Andrews, Tina Roderick and Lena Johnson. Her family and extended relatives will miss her deeply. She enriched our lives with grace and dignity and gave us all a solid foundation of love. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 9 a.m. at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church St., Middletown and at St. Pius X Church, Westfield St., Middletown at 10 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated and interment will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Her family will receive friends at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown, on Friday evening, October 20, from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450, her favorite charity.
