I first met Doug while working with the Revitalization Corps in Hartford, CT during the summer of 1965. I babysat for his children at times. Later I was lucky enough to reconnect with him when I was a first grade and kindergarten teacher at Mark Twain School. After he moved to his principal position at Verplanck School I would stop by to say hello every year. Later Doug welcomed me to record my third children“s album as Peanutbutterjam with one of his first grade classes. Doug was always a kind and encouraging principal. His easygoing manner put everyone at ease and made working him a real pleasure. I must send my sincere sympathy to all his family who have been blessed to have such a special man in their lives. God bless you all!
