Edward T. Borowski

BOROWSKI, Edward T. Edward T. Borowski, 48, of Windsor, died Friday, (January 5, 2007) at the Hospital of Central CT at New Britain General. Ed was born in New Britain, and was the son of Genevieve T. (Smolenski) Borowski of Newington, and the late Lieutenant Commander Stanley T. Borowski. He worked for several years as a buyer for Gerber Scientific. Ed graduated from Newington High School, Class of 1976 and Central CT State University, New Britain, with a degree in accounting. He also taught at Central CT State University as an Adjunct Professor. Ed received a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hartford. He was a member of the Wetlands Committee, Windsor. Ed was also a member of the B.P.O.E. #957, where he served as Exalted Ruler and the Northwestern Veterans, where he served as financial secretary, both of New Britain. He was very active in the Republican Party, and was a candidate for the Windsor Board of Education. In addition to his mother, Ed is survived by his first cousin, Barbara Nachilly of Farmington; several cousins, aunts, uncles and friends, including three close friends, Shirley and Linda Kaupas of Newington, and David Pikora of Bristol. Funeral rites for Ed will be held Wednesday, January 10 at 10:30 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, with Rev. Augustine H. Giusani, presiding. Committal service and final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Burritt Street, New Britain. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. The Elks Lodge #957 will hold a ritual at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
