Edward Falkowski Obituary

Edward John Falkowski, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, SC husband to the late Brenda Falkowski (Lisle) of 51 years, entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 6, 1942 in Manchester, CT Edward was a son to the late John Edward Falkowski and Mildred Mastropietro Falkowski. Ed was a Worcester Poly Tech Chemical Engineering graduate, BSChE, with a Business MBA. He worked at E I Dupont de Nemours as a VP while travelling the world. Being an avid golfer he settled in SC for retirement. He and Brenda perpetuated their love of travel and acquired residency in Panama. Ed was multi-lingual and exposed his family to many cultures, sharing his passion. Ed is survived by daughter June Ashway Campbell (Bud) and two sons Richard and Lance Falkowski, all of Mt Pleasant, and 3 granddaughters; Brianna, Gabby, and Livia. Services will be held in Wilmington DE June 13th, and in Panama TBD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edward`s memory may be sent to World Wildlife Federation. Ed and I joined DuPont at the same time and were in training class together. Later we worked together in the international operations. I remember him for his calm attitude and thoughtful advise. I have considered him a friend and am sorry to hear of his passing.

My deepest sympathy to the Falkowski family. Ed was my best friend back in Connecticut and at WPI. We played golf probably at every course in central CT. We also shot pool at Ed's parent's house in Windsor. I traveled with Ed and Brenda a couple of times to visit Brenda's parents in Hixson TN. When Ed and the family moved to Japan, we lost touch. A few years ago, I found that Ed and family lived in SC, so a trip was on my bucket list. It didn't happen, and I regret it deeply. But I do have all the great and fond memories of our times together back in the 60's.

Dearest June, Rusty and Lance,
We often think of Brenda and Eddie and our wonderful evenings together. We last saw Eddie a year ago. He was bright and cheerful though he was going through a difficult time. We will miss his annual visits and hearing about his latest adventures. We will remember him with love and respect. He had so much living still still to do. He was a dear friend. Another memory is the awesome picture you had in your PR. So many memories they go on and on. We are thinking of you during this very difficult time so very sad for you all. Ed and I worked together 50 years ago and I remember him very well. Ed was a very caring and serious and decent family man who worked very hard. I hope that Ed's and Brenda's children find solace and comfort in the fact that their parents were so admired.

My wife Sandi and I send our "Prayers for the Peace that Passeth Understanding" on the passing of Ed.

Ed and I knew each other as colleagues and coworkers at the DuPont Co., and, after our respective early retirements in the 1990s, via my own consultancy, I worked with Ed on a couple of projects at another firm he joined. And, in passing, I knew his wife as well. They were fine people.

John and I grew up with Ed we played on the Golf Team at Windsor High we were frequent guests at his parents lovely home where we played Pool his Mom and Dad were lovely people. We attended a party at ManchesterCC is Mom put on as a send off to Japan where he represented DuPont. We were lucky enough to spend a few days with Ed in March of 2019 when we drove down Charleston to see him. He was so looking forward to his move to Panama. We are very sorry to learn of his passing, however, we have fond memories.
