Elizabeth Plathottam Obituary

PLATHOTTAM, Elizabeth (Aleykutty) Elizabeth (Aleykutty) Plathottam, the wife of Mathew Plathottam, lost her battle with bone marrow cancer on Wednesday, (March 17, 2004) at 12 p.m. She lived most of her life in India and spent two years in Thunderbay, Canada, when her children immigrated to Canada. Her whole life was dedicated to bringing up her children, which brought her much happiness. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Father Thomas Plathottam, Pastor, St. Luke Church, Ellington; Sister Rose Plathottam S.C.N. (India); James and Sarala (India); Sister Anice Plathottam, S.A.B.S. (India); Devasiachan and Alice (India); Bob and Shiny (Hamilton, Canada); Lisy and Sebi (Edmonton, Canada); Tesy and Martin (Cambridge, Canada); Soly and Mathew (Fresno, CA); Sojan and Lisa (Hamilton, Canada); and 18 grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, Father Philip S.D.B., Mathai and Mary, Sister Rufina, Sister Roasrita, S.A.B.S., and Sister Teresa, I.C.M. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas Church, Cheppukulam, India, but recently moved to St. Mary's Church, Karimannoor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church. Elizabeth will be buried in St. Mary's Church Cemetery, India. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke Parish in Ellington, Saturday, April 3, at 10 a.m.
