Elizabeth Joan Prus "Betty" Sztaba

SZTABA, Elizabeth Joan "Betty" (Bredl) Prus Elizabeth Joan "Betty" (Bredl) Prus Sztaba, 78, of New Britain, passed away Wednesday, (October 08, 2008) at the Hospital of Central CT, New Britain. Betty was born in New Britain; she was the daughter of the late Frank and Sophie (Mayer) Bredl and a lifelong resident. Betty was a graduate of the Connecticut Institute of Hairdressing and was employed by Agnello's Hair Salon and Mr. Gene's Beauty Salon both in New Britain. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, New Britain. Betty had a love for animals especially her dogs Misty and Skipper and loved to dance. She is survived by her devoted sister-in-law, Helen Politz and her husband Edward of New Britain; her sisters-in-law, Alice Sztaba, of New Britain and Claire Baraglia and her husband Kenneth of Kensington; her niece, Marcia Goodwin and her husband James of Newington; her grand-niece, Stacey Goodwin; her aunts, Joan Beniot of Clearwater, FL and Anne Mayer of New Britain and several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Prus and Thomas Sztaba. Betty's funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:15 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, from 5-8 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
