Ellis G. Simpson, Jr. 68 of Bloomfield, beloved husband of Rev. Judy (Butler) Simpson went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2018. Born in Freehold, New Jersey on March 6, 1950 to the late Ellis G. Simpson, Sr. and Thelma Mae Simpson. Besides his devoted wife, he leaves to cherish loving memories, his mother Thelma Mae Simpson; son Ellis III, daughter Shenda James-Alleyne(Gary) , Grandchildren Sahara James, Jayden and Avyon; five Brothers; Steven, James, Gerald (Madrika), Warren, Ronald (Jacquelyn) Simpson and four sisters Ann Perkins, Dorethia Goffe (Vauvelle), Maureen Jackson (Rodney) and Gwendolyn Simpson. Celebration of life will be held on Monday March 26, at Bethel A.M.E. Church 1154 Blue Hills Avenue Bloomfield, CT 06002. .Masonic Services at 10:00, Calling hour 11:00, Funeral Service at 12:30pm. The memories of my time with The Bad Boys of Bethel AME, remain so vivid in my heart. I remember Brother Ellis being such a quiet and loving person. My condolences to The Family. Ellis was my Line Brother at Lincoln University where we pledged and Became The Charter Members Groove Phi Groove SFI Mighty Lion Chapter. I was truly shocked when I heard of his passing. He will remain forever in my heart and words can't described how I feel. We had not been in touch on a regular basis but we both knew we would be there for each other. RIP my Good Brother.
