Emily (Boccardo) Wiener, 82, of Plainville passed away Monday August 21, 2017 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain with her loving family at her side. She was the wife of the late Donald Wiener. Emily was born April 28, 1935 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Michael and Philomena (Pettinichi) Boccardo and has been a Plainville resident for the past 42 years. She was educated in Waterbury schools and had worked as a cashier at Gnazzo's Food Center in Plainville retiring after many years of service. Emily enjoyed her flower gardens and spending time with her family. She leaves her daughters, Robin Lucibello and her husband Joe of Wolcott and Sharon Bessoni and her husband Glen of Southington, her son Gary Wiener of Plainville, her brother Ralph Boccardo of Prospect, her sister Rosemary Boccardo of Plainville, her grandchildren, Crystal Wiener, Nichole Ciccone, Ashley Bessoni and Michael Bessoni and her great grandchildren, Mylee, Giuliana and Isabella. She was predeceased by her brother Michael Boccardo. Family and friends may gather at the Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a service in celebration of Emily's life beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.
