Frances C. Doty

1930 - 2016

Frances C. Doty of Bristol, wife of Robert T. Doty, passed away peacefully September 24th. Fran was born in Farmington July 28, 1930 to Timothy L. Collins and Mary Jacques Collins. A graduate of Farmington High School Class of 1948, Fran was associated with Connecticut General Life Insurance Co. A longtime member of St. Gregory Church, Bristol, she was a member of the Rosary Society and a member of the Bristol Senior Center where she ran the Bargain Box. Besides her beloved husband, Fran leaves her son, Robert T. Doty, Jr and his wife Nancy of Columbia, SC, her sister, Rose C. Killiany and her husband Donald of Burlington, CT, her grandchildren, Michael, Marissa, Andrew and Kattie. She was predeceased by her son, Timothy C. Doty, her sisters, Mary Curnuck, Margaret Collins and Kathryn Collins and her brother, James D. Collins. Friends may call at the Ahern Funeral Home 111 Main Street Route 4, Unionville on Tuesday (Sept 27) from 5-8 p.m. Funeral procession from the Ahern Funeral Home will be Wednesday (Sept 28) at 11:45 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy in St. Gregory Church, Bristol at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington.
