SCHWARTZ, Frances L. Frances (Leonard) Schwartz, 76, of Meriden, wife of the late Edward D. Schwartz, died on Friday morning, (November 4, 2005) at Manchester Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Camden, ME on June 29, 1929, she had resided in Meriden for most of her life. She was a member of Temple B'Nai Abraham, a member of the Sisterhood, and a lifetime member of Hadassah. She was also a member of the Meriden Democratic Town Committee. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Lachapelle and her husband, Ronald of Alstead, NH, and Shelley Haslett and her husband, James of Manchester; two stepchildren, Leesa Luna of Guilford, and Lewis Schwartz of Stamford; seven grandchildren, Geoffrey, Ethan, Alex, Jacqueline, Daniel, Joshua, and Jacob; two sisters, Bebe Leonard of Camden, ME, and Sena Leonard of Charlestown, NH; two brothers, Maurice Leonard of Charlestown, NH, and C. Richard Leonard of Camden, ME; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service to be held on Sunday, November 6, at 1 p.m. at B'Nai Abraham Cemetery, 114 Corrigan Ave., Meriden with Rabbi Gloria S. Rubin officiating. A period of mourning will be held on Monday, November 7, from 4-7 p.m. at the home of Shelley and James Haslett, 57 Lexington Dr., Manchester, CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450 or Temple B'Nai Abraham, 127 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden.
