Francesco Fazio

Francesco "Frank" Fazio, 74, of Newington, passed away Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Natale and the late Maria (Vasques) Fazio, he was born in the small town of Solarino, Sicily, emigrated to the United States in search of the American Dream, and through enormous talent, hard work, and a "never give up" determination, established a thriving jewelry business, Dynasty Jewelers, while raising a wonderful family. It was that same determination that made Frank known as the one person you could always count on for help. With great strength he continued to do what he loved (playing with his granddaughter and making jewelry) up until his final days. Frank's legacy is carried on by his son, Francesco Fazio II, his daughter and son-in-law, Natalena and Marc Fantozzi, and his granddaughter, Isabella (his piripicchia). He is also survived by two brothers, Gaetano and Alfio Fazio, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Rosa Pham, and Lucia and Paolo Teodoro, two grandsons, Michael and Kyle Bates Jr., a great-grandson, Caleb whom he adored, eight nieces and nephews, Vincenzo, Geovana, Natale, Maria Lucia, David, Lien Savio, and Lisa, and four great-nieces and great-nephews, Jadon, Amber, Ismael, and Chai. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his eldest daughter, Ruth Bates. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin, on Wednesday from 5-8pm.
