Gary Brainard Obituary

BRAINARD, Gary Gary Brainard, 59, of Pond Meadow Rd., Killingworth, beloved husband of Anna (Frick) Brainard, died Thursday, (July 24, 2008) at his home. He was born in Middletown, the son of Dorothy (Malcarne) Brainard of Chester and the late Olyn Brainard. Gary was employed with Bish Electric for 41 years, as an electrician. He was an avid Red Sox fan. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Tina Hetrick and her husband Edward of Portland, and Tara Fitzgerald and her husband, Gerard of Mystic; and two grandchildren, Alyssa and Alexis Fitzgerald; a sister-in-law, Patricia Craig and her husband, George; a nephew, Michael Groat; a brother-in-law, Herb Frick and his wife, Tracy; his goddaughter, Jessica Barrows and her family, Clifford, Judy and Peter Barrows. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 - 7 p.m., prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Killingworth Ambulance Assoc., PO Box 749, Killingworth, CT 06419.
