Gennaro A. Compasso

Gennaro "Gerald" A. Compasso, 87, loving husband of Isabel (Montano) Compasso died on Wednesday March 22, 2017. Gerald was born in New York City to Gennaro and Jennie (Stiso) Compasso. Gerald served in the US Army and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Connecticut before embarking on a career that included positions at G. Fox Company & Co., Magnavox Corp., Raytheon, First Hartford Realty, and Beckenstein Enterprises. He was a parishioner at St. Bartholomew's Church in Manchester and as well as a member of Manchester Country Club. Gerald is also survived by his son Gary Compasso and wife Michele of Sewickley, PA, his granddaughters Jordan Friese and Samantha Compasso-Robinson, Samantha's husband Nickolas Robinson and son Miles Compasso, as well as Sherri Moran, mother of Samantha. In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his brother-in-law Anthony N. Montano. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday March 28th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street, Manchester with burial to follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the National Kidney Foundation, the American Heart Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
