Germaine L. Frechette

Germaine L. Frechette, 88, of Sun City Center, FL and formerly of Manchester, died Thursday, (March 6, 2003) in Sun City Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Denis E. Frechette, her son, Elmer Frechette and a grandson, James Barsalon. She was born in October 27, 1914, in New Brunswick Canada, daughter of the late Emile and Edamee (Martin) Long and had been a resident of Manchester for many years before moving to Florida. Prior to her retirement, she was co-owner with her husband of Manchester Wallpaper and Paint. Mrs. Frechette was noted for her decorating and color matching. Her favorite color was "Germaine Gold" which became a standard color for a national paint company. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Frechette leaves behind two sons and their wives, Herman and Annette Frechette of Coventry, Roderick and Theresa Frechette of Rio Rancho, NM; two daughters and their husbands, Greta and Joseph McCloud of Sun City Center, FL, Rose Marie and Ralph Bledsoe of Keswick, VA; 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 22, 10 a.m. in St. Bridget Cemetery, Oakland St., Manchester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester, CT 06040. The Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St., Manchester, has care of arrangements.
