Henry Hackbarth Obituary

HACKBARTH, Henry A.

Henry A. Hackbarth, 76, of Stafford Springs and formerly of Wethersfield, died Friday (January 2, 2004). He was the husband of the late Jean (Lostocco) Hackbarth. Born in Avon, a son of the late Alfred Hackbarth, he resided in Wethersfield for 45 years prior to moving to Stafford Springs 18 months ago. He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement he was an area master carpenter for many years. Besides his beloved wife and father he was predeceased by a special aunt, Henrietta Gallegos of Wethersfield, and a brother, James Hackbarth of Maryland. Mr. Hackbarth is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Patricia Hackbarth of Bradford, MA; a daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Robert Kelleher of Northford; his loving friend and companion, Bernadette Riendeau of Stafford Springs; a sister, Maureen Jepeal of New Britain; two grandchildren, Kristi Hackbarth and Laura Jean Hackbarth; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, January 5, from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions in Henry's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902. My deepest sympathy to Henry's family...I knew him for only a short time. He always had a big smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. May God bless his soul.
