MILTON, Herman Herman Milton, 76, former Deputy Sheriff of Hartford, passed away on Saturday, (February 7, 2004) at St. Francis Hospital of Hartford. Herman was born in New Orleans, LA, December 28, 1927. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War as well as the Deputy Sheriff for Hartford county for over 30 years. Mr. Milton leaves to mourn his wife, Irma Milton; two daughters, LaRita and Valerie Milton; three grandchildren, Herman A. Milton, Nicholas Maxwell, Amri Vaught; a great granddaughter, Keiana Milton; a godson, Troy Cilero; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Milton was predeceased by a son, Herman Milton. Funeral services are Friday, 11 a.m., at the Hope S.D.A. Church, 1052 Blue Hills Ave., Bloomfield, with visitation from 10 a.m. Burial: Connecticut State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown. Clark, Bell & Bell, Hartford.

Sheriff Milton was a good friend to me when I started practicing law in Hartford. A big strong man, doing a sometimes dangerous job, he treated everyone with respect, even when evicting people from their homes or serving restraining
orders.
