Irene O. Nerreau

Irene O Nerreau born March 12, 1923 peacefully left this world just before sunrise on Friday (July 4, 2003). She left behind a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jerry Bard of Scotland, CT; three grandchildren, Kelli-Ann Struk-Bard of Hartford, Airman Jesse Ryan Struk of DAFB, TX, Chelsea Irene Bard of Scotland, CT.; and one great grandson Marcus Pagan of Hartford. Irene was widowed in 1998 after having been blessed with a marriage to Henry Nerreau for over 47 years. During their life together they enjoyed family, friends, camping, golf and boating. They were lifetime members of Middlesex Yacht Club. Irene lived the last several years with her daughter and family on a wonderful old farm in the country surrounded by friends, family and critters of all kinds. In celebration of Irene's love for helping people and animals donations in her name may be made to NEADS 305 Redemption Rock Trail Rt.140 Princeton MA. 01541 a school where young dogs are trained to work with physically challenged or hearing impaired clients. These donations will help sponsor clients matched with dogs raised by inmate trainers at York CI, Niantic CT. preparing for a new life together as working teams. Family and friends will gather together for prayers, Irish melodies, and memories on the lawn of the Middlesex Yacht Club Chester, CT. at 6 p.m. Wednesday July 23.
