MELLON, James Keith
James Keith Mellon, 63, of West Wareham, MA, passed away peacefully at his home on January 31, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jim, a native of Bristol, CT, was the son of the late Valentine and Catherine (Maher) Mellon. He was a graduate of Bristol Central High School (Class of 1967) and Bridgewater State College where he earned dual degrees in Math and English. Jim was a Systems Administrator, based at the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, for the National Archives & Records Administration. An avid sports fan, Jim enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins, and loved to play golf. Jim was known for his vibrant sense of humor, often entertaining family, friends and colleagues with his hilarious song parodies about celebrities, politicians and sports figures. Jim leaves his cherished daughters, Caitlin of West Wareham and Emily of Salt Lake City, UT; his brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Aline Mellon of Bristol and their children Katie, Garrett, Heather and Shannon; sister and brother-in-law Joan and Angelo Decrisantis of Avon and their sons James and Andrew; sister Kathleen Mellon of Mission Viejo, CA and sister and brother-in-law Diane Mellon and Sebastian Morell of New York City. Jim also leaves his aunt and uncle, Adeline and Edward Kuchta of Southington and uncle and aunt, T. William and Jean Maher of Farmington and many dear cousins, friends and colleagues.
A private burial service was held at St Thomas Cemetery, Bristol.
