REARDON, James R. James R. Reardon, 70, of Somers, died Wednesday, (May 31, 2006) at St. Francis Hospital after a courageous battle with numerous illnesses. He was born in Springfield, MA, son of the late Richard C. and Viva M. (Cook) Reardon and was a longtime resident of Somers. He is survived by Crystal Reardon; his five children, Lori Chiarenza of West Hartford, Liane Pagano of Somers, Patrecia Bransford of Hobe Sound, FL, Pamela and her husband, Chris Zimmerman of Belchertown, MA, James R. "Jay" Reardon, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Windsor Locks; eight grandchildren, Rocco and Teresa Chiarenza, Nicholas Stone, John Pagano, Jeremy and Kyle Reardon, Christel Bransford and Haley Zimmerman; his sister, Elinor Butler of Somers, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Wolk. His passion for wood working led him to a lifetime business of architectural woodworking for over 45 years. He enjoyed hunting, and skeet/trap shooting. Family and friends will gather Monday, 9 a.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, with a procession to All Saints Church School St., Somersville, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. His family will receive friends Sunday, from 4-8 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels. Memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.
