Janet Hinkson

Janet (Unwin) Hinkson, 55, of Rocky Hill, wife and best friend of Daryl Hinkson, departed from this world on Tuesday (November 11, 2003). Born June 30, 1948, daughter of the late William and Doris Unwin. She was an employee of New Britain General Hospital in the lab, taking a medical retirement in 1992. Besides her husband, Daryl, she leaves two beloved children; a daughter, Jessica of Manchester; and a son, Dennis and his fiancee Kimberly Roger, both of Southington. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Robert Hinkson; a sister-in-law, Jeannette Hinkson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, 8 a.m. from the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq., New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. No flowers will be accepted at the funeral home.
