Janet Lally Obituary

Janet T. (DeCastro) Lally, 80, of Hill Street, Suffield, died Sunday, (December 8, 2002) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. She was born October 1, 1922 in Brookline, MA, daughter of the late John Leighton and Eugenia (Cable) DeCastro and had lived in Suffield for the past 40 years. She had formerly resided in West Springfield, MA for several years, was a graduate of Regis College, Weston, MA, and a member of the Tobacco Valley Arts Association. She is survived by three sons and their families, Robert V. and Anne Lally and their children, Bobby, Jennifer, and Jason of Avon, David R. Lally of Simsbury and Dale Lally and his partner, Stephen Laviska of Manhattan, NY; her sister, Eileen Berube and her husband Tom Pantaleo of Farmington; and many nieces and nephews. Janet's life and love were defined by her three adoring sons and the beautiful home she created. A memorial reception will be held at the Second Baptist Church, 100 North Main Street, Suffield, Saturday, December 21, 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450-1004. Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury has charge of arrangements.
