Janet (Kamerer) Pulver, 66, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Janet was born June 8, 1950 to her parents Fred and Mary Kamerer of Rocky Hill. Janet was a loving and devoted mother who enjoyed relaxing summers at Points O' Woods, bowling, board games, poker with friends, and most of all spending time with family, especially with the two newest additions to the family - granddaughter Caroline Pulver and grandson Carter Smith. Janet was always ready to lend a helping hand, and just wanted everyone to be together and enjoy each other's company. Her family will miss her gentle voice, strong will, and above all, her warm heart. Whether you knew her your entire life or just met her an hour ago, you could always count on a hug goodbye. Janet will be dearly missed by her two children, daughter and best friend Tracy Smith and her husband Oneal; and son Cory Pulver and his wife Erica. She also leaves to mourn her dear sisters Susan Bookman and husband Dr. Alan Bookman, and Mariann Fitch and husband Robert Fitch, as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and a countless number of friends. Per Janet's request there will not be calling hours or a funeral service, instead there will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 29, at J. Timothy's Tavern in Plainville from 2-6pm. All are invited to either stop by for a few minutes or stay for a few hours, and as Jan would want, enjoy each other's company. Please join us in remembering her for the truly unique and amazing person she was. Memorials to the American Red Cross Organization have been suggested. A special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, and staff who work in the MSICU at Saint Francis Hospital for their phenomenal efforts and compassionate care.
