Jean E. Brisson

1932 - 2018

Jean E. (Rampelli) Brisson, 86, of Cocoa Beach, FL, passed away August 23, 2018. Born in Hartford, CT, July 30, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ludovico and Ellen (Johnson) Rampelli of Hartford and the wife of Edgar H. Brisson of Cocoa Beach. She leaves three daughters, Linda B. Meyers (Robert Meyers) of Avon, CT, Brenda Holda of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Lisa Brisson (Melissa Granger) of Plainville, CT; and her beloved sister, Doris Melanson of Stonington, CT. Jean was the loving grandmother of Edward Meyers of Atlanta, GA, Matthew Holda of Rockledge, FL, and Evan Holda of Titusville, FL. She was the sister of the late Robert Rampelli and the late William Rampelli. Throughout her life, Jean was devoted to her family, her church and to animal welfare. She graduated from Weaver High School in 1950 where she met the love of her life, Ed, her husband of 64 years. She worked at the Fuller Brush Co., and later worked at the Picadilly Cafeteria, Farm Shop and as the bookkeeper for Canaveral Towers condos. One of her greatest joys was serving as a Eucharistic minister at the Church of Our Saviour in Cocoa Beach, where she was also a part of its Perpetual Adoration service and the Women's Club. Jean was one of the biggest Boston Red Sox fans the team has ever had and it was always a great day for her whenever the Sox beat the Yankees. A Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Our Saviour Catholic Church, 5301 N. Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, FL, with a Memorial Service to follow.
