STIEBITZ, Jean B. (Brewer)
Jean Stiebitz, beloved wife of John A. Stiebitz, Jr., of South Windsor passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013, surrounded by her devoted and loving family at the age of 78. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August. Jean was born in Manchester on December 26, 1934 to Merrill and Arveda (Parson) Brewer. After growing up in Manchester her marriage to John 'Jack' brought her to South Windsor where they raised their three children. Before retiring she was employed by Cigna Insurance Company in Bloomfield. After retirement Jean took up genealogy as her major hobby. She spent many hours volunteering her time at the Manchester Family History Center. She also enjoyed bingo, watching her grandchildren play sports, her feline companions, and spending time with her family. In addition to being survived by her loving husband, she is survived by her son John David Stiebitz of Storrs-Mansfield; her daughter Karen Rogliano of Shelton, her husband Guy and their three children Justin Rogliano of Stratford, Megan Rogliano Field and her husband Taylor of Seymour and Jamie Rogliano of Middletown; her daughter Teri Lemieux of South Windsor, her husband Steven and their two children, Christine and Brian. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Robert and Raymond and her two sisters, Bernice Krewalk and Marilyn Griffin.
Jean's request to have a private memorial service with her immediate family will be honored. Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Connecticut, 8 Keynote Dr., Vernon, CT 06066. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home has care of arrangements.

Mr. Steibitz, Dave, Karen and Terri: My sincerest condolences go out to you and your family on Jean's passing. I have been in contact with Jean via Facebook just last year. I will always remember her as a caring, loving woman.
