A very best friend. It was always great to be with Jeff. His Mom, Dad, Grandparents and dog Brando were very kind. Miss him dearly. George Barsky. [email protected]

I did not know Jeff had passed and only found out on 4/26/20 on the internet with very great sadness. Jeff and I were very close friends in Long Beach and I knew his mother, father, and grandparents and his German Shepard dog. I also know Linda his wife and some of her friends from Long Beach like Martha Sokolowicz, We went to the LBHS senior prom together [I drove].
With my wife Phoebe we visited Jeff and Linda in Connecticut several times. They also attended my wedding. The last time I saw Jeff and Linda was at the LBHS 50th reunuon in Island Park, NY. in 2007 Jeff was in a wheel chair at that time. Jeff was always Mr. athletic and it was unbelievable and sad to see him that way. My last moments with them was helping Linda to get Jeff into their car.
Jeff was a very great friend and we did much together as high school buddies. We both enjoyed classical music and we would listen to LP records together or with other good friends Jerry Marcus, Emanuel Ackerman and Richard Hartman. Jeff was very smart and we also discussed scientific and engineering stuff at the time, aside from various athletic things.
I once was invited to a Passover seder at his grandparents home on the east side of Manhattan. I drove with Jeff and his parents to take him to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to begin his freshman year. He enrolled in the Navy ROTC program.
Just a quick mention about Linda his wife. I knew her well as a close friend and her study of becoming a great pianist. I once went to one of her concerts where she performed the Grieg piano concerto. Wonderful.
It is with extreme sorrow to find out about his passing. May his wife Linda and family know he was great, kind and talented person. RIP. I think frequently about the wonderful years at LBHS and having Jeff as a close friend.
