Jeffry Stuek Obituary
Jeffry Harper Stuek, 68, passed away on October 15, 2015. Born in Hartford, CT, Jeff was a high school and collegiate swimming All-American, and was elected to the Manchester High School (CT) and Bethany College (WV) sports halls of fame. A resident of Fort Myers since 1982, he was an insurance executive in Connecticut, West Virginia and Florida. Jeff recently sold his insurance agency to S&S Insurance Solutions of Florida and remained President of Community Imperial Insurance Inc. Survivors include: his wife, Donna Wood Stuek of Fort Myers, sons, Jeffry H. Stuek Jr. of Morristown, NJ and Duncan W. Stuek of Fort Myers, grandchildren, Lincoln and Harper Stuek of Morristown, brother, William of Darien, CT and sister, Wendy (David) Voit of Lodi, CA. A private service was held in Fort Myers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or Instructors of Handicapped Inc., P.O. Box 246, Manchester, CT 06040. Donna and Family, please accept my deepest sympathies on the recent passing of Jeff. Jeff and I swam in High School, and I was always an admirer of his. It was good to see him at the Manchester Awards dinner, as it brought back many memories from years gone by. May God grant you comfort and peace in the days ahead, as you mourn the loss. Donna and family: I am saddened to read of Jeff's passing. To all his past swim teammates in Manchester, this is a terrible blow. Jeff was respected and admired for his talents and for who he was as a person. I hope you can find peace in knowing how much he meant to many people in multiple states. I am so glad he was able to come back to Manchester, CT for his induction to the Manchester Sports Hall of Fame last year. It was great to see him again, and to see him honored by his home town.
