PRISBIE, Jeraldine Lucy
Jeraldine Lucy (Rossitto) Prisbie, 69, of Wethersfield, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday (May 23, 2013) with her loving family by her side. Born on June 29, 1943 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Caesar and Shirley Marie (Nugent) Rossitto. Jeraldine was a bookkeeper and office manager who started work at Nemrow in Hartford at the age of 14 and worked there for more than 20 years as well as for Clark Contract Interiors, Beemer Petroleum and Optical Comparators, a family business. She was a communicant of the Church of the Incarnation in Wethersfield. She is survived by her two devoted children, Kelly Weinberg of Wethersfield and Ronald John Prisbie, Jr. of Middletown; two adored grandchildren, Zachary Jacob and Haley Nicole Weinberg; four brothers, Richard Rossitto and his wife Jane of South Windsor, Caesar William Rossitto and his wife Lorraine of Wethersfield, Christopher Rossitto of Florida and Caesar Rossitto of Manchester; three sisters, Elaine Hourigan and her husband David of Newington, Sherry Hannon and her husband Robert of Cromwell and Donna Riccio of East Hartford, as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. Jeraldine's family would like to thank Dr. Richard J. Soucier and his staff, as well as the staff at Apple Rehab in Cromwell for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Jeraldine during her stay.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (May 31) at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be private. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
