Jeremiah ADAMETZ Obituary



ADAMETZ, Jeremiah G. Sr.
Jeremiah G. Adametz, Sr., 79, of Alders Bridge Rd., Killingworth, beloved husband of Joan (Hardiman) Adametz, died Friday, (August 12, 2011) at his home. He was born on August 4, 1932 in Middletown, the son of the late Jeremiah E. and Rose (Mazanek) Adametz. A veteran of the Korean War, he served with the US Navy. Prior to his retirement, Jeremiah was employed with the State of CT Dept. of Transportation. He was a Mason with the Granite Lodge #119 of the CT Free Masons in Haddam, 1st Company of the Governor's Foot Guard, and a past board member with the Town of Killingworth's Planning and Zoning. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Jeremiah G. Adametz, Jr., of Killingworth; his daughters, Jennifer Trimboli and her husband Shawn of Southington and Jill Johnson and her husband Scott of Worcester, MA; a brother, Frederick Adametz and his wife, Winifred of Hartford; a sister, Grace Smith of Killingworth; two grandchildren, Robert Trimboli and Samuel Johnson; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Adametz and Walter Adametz, Sr.; and two sisters, Violet Gonser and Mildred Adametz.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial with military honors will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Killingworth. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
