ARIS, John G.
John G. Aris, 85, of Avon, beloved husband of Eva (Vanarthos) Aris, passed away Thursday, (November 10, 2011), at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late George and Despina (Vandris) Arabadjis and lived in Syracuse and Floral Park, LI, NY before moving to Avon in 1980.
His family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 14, from 5-8 p.m. at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon. Trisagion Prayers will be held at 7 p.m. His funeral procession will leave the Carmon Funeral Home of Avon, Tuesday, Nov 15, at 9 a.m. followed by his funeral service, 10 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 31 Brightwood Rd., Bristol. Burial will follow in West Avon Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Assoc. PO Box 451429, Atlanta, GA 31145-9429. For condolences please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com
