He was welcomed to the world by his older siblings, Sue Shepard of South Windsor, Connecticut and Peter Fisher of Cataumet, Massachusetts.John grew up in Hartford and spent summers on Cape Cod. As a young man he tended bar at the Chart Room in Cataumet and worked as a butcher at Paul's Market in neighboring Megansett. My sincere condolences to John's family,Sue and Pete. I have great memories of the entire Fisher family from building forts in our backyards , many neighborhood cookouts and playing at Elizabeth park til the street lights went on.
The summers were always the best because our families would vacation together in one big house in North Falmouth Ma. That is where we all learned to shoot BB guns, crabbing and catch, clean and eat fish after many outings on CAPEJO.
Even though we lost contact after high school, I still have pictures and memories that will always be with me.
I hope the great memories and love you have of John will help you through this time of sorrow.
