John Lucas Obituary

It is with great sadness that John Maxim Lucas' wife Kristin and his children Sofia, Jack, and Nathaniel announce his sudden and unexpected passing on July 7, 2023.

John loved his family deeply. He was a beloved son to Paul and Barbara Lucas of Chaplin CT. He was an extraordinary husband and an amazing father. He designed and built a beautiful home where they spent many happy years surrounded by the land he loved. John was a friend and mentor to many. He was always generous with his time and was enthusiastic about sharing the lessons that he learned from his many experiences. His joy and vitality will live on in our memories, but he will be forever missed by those he loved so freely.

If you would like to make a memorial donation in his honor you can contribute to Massachusetts General Hospital, Research on Genomic Determinants of Cardiovascular Disease, Richard B. Simches Research Center.

John was the ideal landlord. We enjoyed watching his children play on our swing.

This man was an amazing man and did nothing but Pringle positivity to my life, last winter was one of the poorest wninters I've ever had and he gave me work to pay mu mortgage for 3 months in a row and was awsometo work with he entire time, he used to tell me "I don't know why I like you but I do... ur genuinely a good guy", and coming from him that was a compliment and a blessing, I prey he rest in peace, misfortune is terrible and this is tragic, his family will forever be in my mind......he had mine in his heart as well..

I had the privilege of knowing John for a few years, and during that time, he left an indelible mark on me and my perspective on life. John was an extraordinary individual with a profound soul, and the world has undoubtedly been enriched by having had his presence, even if it was for a limited period. My heartfelt condolences go out to everyone who was close to him.

John was a wonderful man! He did a lot of work at my home and I got to know him. Kristin, may the love of friends and family help you and your children, and may your memories live on forever!
