DENI, Joseph V. Joseph V. Deni, 89, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Saturday (November 13, 2004) in Enfield. Joseph was the beloved husband of 57 years to Sadie M. (Maniscalco) Deni. He was born on July 1, 1915 in Holyoke, MA the son of the late Pasquale and Maria (Noto) Deni and had resided in Enfield for the past 57 years. Mr. Deni served his country honorably with the 58th U.S. Naval Construction Battalion and Navy Seabees during World War II, Joseph received the World War II Victory Medal, Pacific Theatre Ribbon w/3 stars, American Theatre Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. Prior to his retirement in 1982 Mr. Deni was employed as a Building Superintendent at Bradley International Airport, in Windsor Locks for 32 years. He was a member of the State of CT Employees Association, the AARP Chapter 3062 and St. Patrick's Church, in his leisure time he enjoyed playing the harmonica, was a world wide traveler and being the family jokester and comedian. Besides his loving wife, Sadie, he is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Deni of New York and Ann Neill of Massachusetts; a sister-in-law, Carme Scavotto, and brother-in-law, Ignatius Maniscalco and his wife, Carol all of Enfield; along with many nieces, nephews and their families, also many dear friends. He was predeceased by five brothers, Michael, John, Anthony, Salvatore and Louis Deni and a sister, Candace Johnson. Funeral services for Mr. Deni will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 9 a.m. from BROWNE MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPELS, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Enfield. Committal services with military honors will take place in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery. Calling hours for Mr. Deni are on Monday, Nov. 15, from 1-3 and 6- 8 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. Memorial donations in Joseph's memory may be made to St. Patrick's Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
