FITTON, Joseph William Joseph William Fitton, 85, of Brownstone Road, Yalesville, died Tuesday, (January 9, 2007) at Miller Memorial Community. He was the beloved husband of Barbara B. (Griffin) Fitton. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, January 10, 1921, a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Holland) Fitton, and had been employed as a manufacturing engineer at Honeywell-Skinner Valve in New Britain until his retirement in 1983. He previously was employed by Stanley Works. He had been a founding Parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church, a Past President of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers of Hartford, and the transportation manager of Brooks Emergency Locksmith. Besides his wife Barbara, he is survived by his son, William H. Brooks of Yalesville; his sister-in-law, Lorraine (Mrs. Eugene) Dube of Bristol; his niece, Harriet Reilly and her husband Kevin of Manchester; and his nephew, Thomas Keithan and his wife Irene of Yalesville. His family will receive relatives and friends TODAY, from 5-8 p.m. in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main Street, Yalesville section of Wallingford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 10:45 a.m. from The Yalesville Funeral Home when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
